No nation has grown more in terms of scientific research than China, particularly in chemistry and materials science, the Financial Times reported Monday.   The newspaper compiled figures that showed China had far outperformed every other nation in scientific research, with a 64-fold increase in peer-reviewed papers since 1981.  And the pace shows no signs of slowing.The nation is now second only to the U.S., but if it keeps on its current trajectory it will be the largest producer of scientific knowledge within a decade, according to figures from Thomson Reuters, which indexes scientific p…   Read More
