An ideal solution is a solution in which no volume change and no enthalpy change takes place on mixing the solute and the solvent in any proportion. A non-ideal solution on the other hand is a solution in which solute and solvent molecules interact with one another with a force other than the forces of interaction between the molecules of the pure components.   Read More
